How it works

The same app, hosted for you

Leyr Cloud is the self-hosted Leyr, one copy per customer, on servers we rent and look after.

We set up your instance

You get your own Leyr at yourname.cloud.leyr.stream, with its own database and storage. Nothing is shared with other customers.

You upload your music

Add albums from your browser, and bring in Bandcamp purchases with their tags and artwork. Leyr fills in the rest from MusicBrainz.

You listen anywhere

In the browser, on your phone as an installed app, or in any Subsonic app. Sign in with the same account everywhere.

Before you join

Does Leyr Cloud come with music?

No. It is a home for music you already own: files you bought, ripped or downloaded from stores like Bandcamp. Leyr organises and plays them.

Where does it run?

On servers we rent in a data centre, not on anyone's home connection.

Can I run it myself instead?

Yes. Leyr Cloud is the same software as the self-hosted Leyr. The install guide shows how to run it on your own hardware.

What happens to my address?

We use it only to write to you about Leyr Cloud. Ask us and we delete it.
